Although there is a full slate of contested races when it comes to statewide seats, that is not the case when it comes to countywide races or for Fayette County Board.
All Fayette County Officeholders will be running unopposed in the November General Election. Republican Kara Dugan will be running unopposed for a full term as Fayette County Clerk. Republican Michelle Hagy is running for re-election for Treasurer and will be unopposed. Republican Ronnie Stevens is running for re-election as Sheriff and is running unopposed and Republican Supervisor of Assessments Ryan Parks is running for another term and is running unopposed.
As for County Board—
In District One, Republican Rick Radliff is running unopposed. Radliff will take the seat formerly held by County Board Chairman Jacob Harris, who is not seeking another term.
In District Two, Republican Dan Lutz will run for the 2 year unexpired term unopposed. Also in District Two, Republican Mack Payne is running for re-election to the County Board is unopposed.
In District Three, Republican Michael Butts is running for another term on the board and is unopposed.
In District Four, Republican and Board Vice Chairman Pat Click is running for re-election and is unopposed.
In District Five, Republican Heidi Schulte is running unopposed. Schulte will take over the seat formerly held by Democrat Ashley Towler, who is not seeking another term.
In District Six, Republican James Wehrle is running for the 2 year unexpired term and is unopposed. Also in District Six, Republican Scott Workman is running for a full term on the board and is unopposed.
In District Seven, Republican Jacquelene Durr is running for the 2 year unexpired term and is unopposed. Also in District Seven, Democrat Scott Ray is running for re-election and is unopposed.
For Fayette County, early voting runs until November 2nd (the day before Election Day). The early voting will be conducted at the Fayette County Courthouse at 221 S. 7th Street in Vandalia Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm and on Saturday, October 31st from 8 am to 12 pm. They will be closed for Columbus Day on Monday, October 12th.
