The FNB Community Bank recently announced the appointment of Jay B. Jolliff as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective January 1, 2027.
“I am honored by the Board’s confidence in appointing me as President and Chief Operating Officer,” stated Jolliff. “Our bank has a strong history of serving customers and communities with integrity, and I look forward to building on that legacy alongside our dedicated employees. Together, we will remain focused on exceptional service, sustainable growth, and creating long-term value for our customers, communities, and shareholders.”
Jolliff began his career with The FNB Community Bank in 2008 and has held a variety of leadership positions throughout his tenure. In his most recent role as Chief Operating Officer, he has been responsible for managing the bank’s day-to-day operations, guiding strategic growth efforts, and enhancing overall organizational effectiveness. A 1994 graduate of Patoka High School, Jolliff earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville before obtaining a Master of Business Administration from Webster University.
“FNB is the hometown bank. It has been a long-held principle to promote from within, especially when intellect, loyalty and integrity are found in an individual already making a difference for this bank, our stockholder, our customers and most especially, our staff. Those characteristics are what made Jay Jolliff an obvious choice for promotion to be the next President of FNB Community Bank as Steve Henna transitions to the singular role of CEO on January 1, 2027. Jolliff’s knowledge of this bank, having served in a variety of roles—loan officer, head of the trust department, supervisor of the investment center staff and in his current role as Chief Operating Officer—gives him a solid foundation from which to further craft the mission and vision of this 160-year-old institution. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I can share that we are gratified that Jolliff is willing to step up and into this role, noting his loyalty and humility. We look forward to working closely with both Jolliff and Henna during the transition,” commented Ann M. Schwarm, chairman, The FNB Community Bank Board of Directors.
In his new role, Jolliff will provide day-to-day leadership for the bank’s operations, ensuring continued organizational effectiveness and responsiveness across all departments. He will oversee the resolution of operational challenges, drive strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. A key focus of his leadership will be the development and growth of employees, helping to strengthen the bank’s talent pipeline while supporting the professional success of team members at every level.
A Patoka resident, Jolliff and his family call the community home. His civic involvement includes membership in the Sons of the American Legion and the Vandalia Rotary Club. In addition, he contributes his leadership and expertise as a board member for the Kaskaskia College Foundation, Friends & Families of SBL Fayette County Hospital, and FMC Water Company.
The FNB Community Bank, founded in 1865, has locations in Vandalia, Greenville, Ramsey, Patoka, and Mulberry Grove. Member FDIC.
