Early voting is set to begin in Illinois on Thursday morning.
The state’s early-voting period starts 40 days before Election Day, which is scheduled on November 3rd this year.
Rock Island County Clerk Karen Kinney said early voting does add taxpayer costs.
Brown County Clerk & Recorder Jenny Welty said elections are part of the county clerk’s budget.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd.
