The Vandalia Civic Advancement Group will be looking to get opinions from the community to help map out the future in a series of meetings beginning next month.
Speaking on our podcast “Talking about Vandalia,” Mayor Doug Knebel says the Mapping Program will be a series of meetings on different topics to get a plan for the community’s future. He adds they did send out about 450 invitations for the events but everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
Mayor Knebel adds this is through an Illinois university with a cost estimated at about $4,500.
The first of the meetings will be held on Wednesday, October 7th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Family YMCA of Fayette County and the first is “Where are we now?” Meetings will be each Wednesday at the same time and location through November 4th.
