Although we continue to pass dates that say we should be into Fall, the hot weather just won’t quite let go. We are in for another hot snap–although this one is expected to be quite a bit shorter.
Today we are looking at mostly sunny skies with a high of 92. Then, mostly clear skies for tonight with a low of 70. Wednesday we are looking at partly sunny skies–although we will have a chance of showers and storms later in the day–with a high of 95 and heat index values as high as 100.
After that, we should see some precipitation come over the area and a little cooler temperatures. We are looking at showers and storms to be with us on Wednesday night and into Thursday. The high on Thursday expected to just be 80 with a high on Friday into the mid 80’s.
Meanwhile, September 1st was the beginning of meteorological fall, many people consider Labor to be the “unofficial” end of summer. The only left now is the autumnal equinox, which is set for September 22nd—two weeks from today.
