The extreme heat remains over the area.
For today we are looking at sunshine and a high of 97 with heat index values as high as 103. Then, mostly clear skies for tonight with a low of 75.
Meanwhile, Friday will look just about identical to today. Saturday there is a chance of a shower or storm in the afternoon with temperatures still expected into the middle to upper 90’s. Our first sign of any “relief” looks to be on Sunday when the high is expected in the low 90’s. But, the heat is not done, as we are expecting at least a couple of more days into the middle 90’s next week.
