The extreme heat continues and we are still several days away from any kind of relief.
Today our forecast says it will be sunny with a high of 98. Heat Index Values Today will be as high as 104. Then, mostly clear skies for tonight with a low of 76.
Meanwhile, much the same heat will remain with us all the way through Saturday. The forecast now calls for a chance of showers and storms in the afternoon on Saturday. Although the National Weather Service in St. Louis does not mention this as of this time, it’s a strong possibility any type of storms on Saturday afternoon could be strong to severe.
One small benefit for us is the sun is going down a bit earlier, being we are into early September. Sunrise today is at 6:26 am and sunset is at 7:25 pm.
