The Illinois State Police are offering just a few details of an accident they handled this past Friday evening in Vandalia.
Illinois State Police Troop 9 reports the accident was at Illinois Route 185 and Zent Drive in Vandalia and occurred at about 5:52 pm. State Police reports say a preliminary investigation indicates they responded to the location for a two vehicle crash. The ISP says both drivers were transported to area hospitals with injuries. They add the roadway was shut down and reopened at approximately 7:20 pm. The State Police says that no further information is available.
