The Altamont Indians dropped both games of a doubleheader on Monday night, falling to the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes 7-5 and 13-3. In the first game, the Indians scored a pair of runs in the first and second innings, and added a run in the third to jump out to a 5-0 lead. The Wooden Shoes responded by scoring 3 runs in the sixth and two in the seventh to tie the game at 5, and sent it to extra innings. T-Town took the lead with two runs in the top of the eighth, and shut out the Indians in the bottom half to secure the 7-5 extra-innings win. The Wooden Shoes opened up the second game scoring a run in the top of the second before adding four in the third to jump out to a 5-0 lead. The Indians chipped away at the deficit, scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the third, making the score 5-2 but the Shoes would score one run in the fourth, two in the fifth, and four in the sixth to extend their lead to 12-2. Altamont would get a run back in the bottom of the sixth, but T-Town would score a run in the seventh to secure the 13-3 win in game two. The Indians are now 1-3 on the season. Altamont will be back on Tuesday for an NTC matchup with BSE.
