As we wrap up the month of August today—and end meteorological summer—we will see some of our hottest temperatures of the season this week.
Today our forecast calls for sunny skies and hot with a high of 95. Then, clear skies for tonight with a low of 74.
It will be much the same story throughout this work week, only getting a little hotter. We will see highs in the upper 90’s for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before being in the lower 90’s for highs on Friday and Saturday. Heat index readings are expected to get above 100 starting tomorrow around the area.
One saving grace is the sun is going down earlier at this point. Sunrise today is at 6:24 am and sunset will be at 7:28 pm.
