(Chicago, IL) — Governor Pritzker is naming Jim Montgomery to lead the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. His appointment will go into effect today and is pending state Senate approval. Montgomery previously served as Commissioner and Director of Administration and Finance of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. He began his career in Illinois working for the offices of several elected officials before being elected to serve two terms as Mayor of Taylorville from 1997-2005.
