(Quincy, IL) — A teacher in Quincy is charged following an incident with a student. Charis Loertscher was arrested for aggravated battery of a disabled person and domestic battery. The incident happened Tuesday morning at Iles Elementary School and the student was sent to the hospital for evaluation. The Quincy Public School District says Loertscher was placed on paid suspension and won’t be allowed back in the building during the investigation.
