(Chicago, IL) — Illinois is expanding measures to ensure the health and safety of women and survivors of domestic violence in the state. Governor Pritzker signed two pieces of legislation into law.
The second measure aims to protect domestic violence survivors from emerging forms of technology-facilitated abuse by expanding protection orders to include digital harassment. It also removes barriers to receiving orders of protection against perpetrators.
