Before Wednesday’s monthly St. Elmo City Council meeting, a special meeting was held to discuss the city applying for an OSLAD (Open Land Acquisition and Development) Grant for Deken Park. St. Elmo Mayor Kim Baron talked about what they are hoping to get out of the grant.
The project is estimated at approximately $600,000. Other items the Council approved were a bid from Nelson Trucking in Altamont for $11,750 for rocks, a purchase of School Zone signs from Progressive Chemical for $4500, the resignation of Peg McKinney as Alderman, and the appointment of Ryan Scott as Alderman.
