
You see it all the time, videos on social media of people in what start out as minor traffic stops but quickly getting escalated into major issues–many times because of lack of cooperation on the case of the drivers.
Vandalia Police Chief Jeff Ray was a guest on our podcast “Talking about Vandalia,” and was asked about the best way for a driver to handle when they are pulled over by law enforcement.
Chief Ray says for law enforcement wearing body cams has become a way to clear up issues because they have the stop on video. He also says it can work both ways if an officer does not handle things well. The bottom line is there is a clear record of what went on.
