The first round of Lake Siltation work at Vandalia Lake should get rolling this fall.
During Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, Engineer Lee Beckman of Milano & Grunloh Engineers was on hand for his month engineering report. Beckman told the Vandalia City Council the city now had verbal commitments from all the property owners in the cove where they will start the siltation work. Beckman then explained how this process would work.
As for a new timeline, Beckman says they will now advertise for bids and plan to open those bids in September. And, then the work would begin as quickly as the contractor was ready to get going.
