(Lincoln, IL) — The second trial of a Lincoln woman charged in the death of her boyfriend’s infant daughter in 2022 is underway. Jury selection began yesterday in the trial of Cierra Coker. She is charged with murder in the killing of 19-month-old Sophia Davis in February 2022. An autopsy showed the child’s death was the result of a traumatic brain injury due to blunt force injuries of the head. Coker stood trial last August, but it ended in a mistrial.
