We are looking at sunny and mild conditions today, but more chances of severe weather are back on the radar for the area this weekend.
Today we’ll see sunny skies and a high of 81. Then, mostly cloudy skies for tonight with a low of 62. Saturday will look much the same around the area.
But, we do again have a chance of severe weather over the area–with the best chance for this area being on Sunday. In their latest weather briefing, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says thunderstorms are likely across the area on Sunday. They say there is a chance of severe weather in the afternoon on Sunday, primarily over eastern Missouri and south central/southwest Illinois. The primary threat will be damaging winds and possible tornadoes, with large hail also possible. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible on Sunday.
