(Champaign, IL) — A Champaign man is accused of murdering a woman more than 40-years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Court records say Charlie Brown Junior was arrested yesterday and charged in the killing of Agnes Tybo, who was found strangled to death in November 1983 in an Albuquerque motel. Brown was identified as a suspect with the use of advanced DNA technology. In a Facebook post, Albuquerque Police say a breakthrough in the case happened after Tybo’s case was featured in July 2022 on the debut episode of their official podcast, “The Duke City Case Files.”
