Andrew Seth Karrraker, 24 years young, passed away in our home on Friday, May 22, 2026. He was born in Summerville, SC, on March 4, 2002. Andrew was a very creative young man; he loved music, both singing and making. He was a very talented writer. He loved football, and his favorite NFL team was the New England Patriots. Andrew played football all through Middle School and his Freshman year of High School. He was also on the wrestling team and enjoyed his time on the mat. He graduated from Vandalia High School in 2020.
Growing up, Andrew loved dinosaurs and anything with wheels, such as semi-trucks, fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, garbage trucks, etc. He was a spirited and loving child, too.
Andrew was the son of Michael Karraker (father) and Kristin Crawford Karraker (mother). He was the brother of Austin and Alexis Karraker, and he had a half-sister, Amanda, as well. He was loved by many people in his life, including his paternal grandmother, Paula Wight (Nanny); his aunt and uncle, Stacey and Brian; his great-aunts, Marla Smith and Jeana Burrus; and several cousins. He will be missed by many.
We would like to extend special thanks to all of those who took Andrew under their wings and showed him love and kindness: his former neighbor and friend, Sherri Henry, good friend Bill Karrow, and the late Charlie Townsend.
He is preceded in death by his paternal Great Grandma and Grandpa Pullen, Great Grandma and Grandpa Karraker, his Grandpa Gary Karraker, and Don Wight (Papa). His maternal Great Grandma and Grandpa Smith, his maternal Grandma (Nana) and Grandpa (Papa) Crawford, and his Great-Great Grandmother (Granny) Thelma Marrs.
Andrew loved his cat, Allie, and could rest knowing she would be well taken care of by his mother and sister.
Hosea 2:15 “Where there is sorrow, God will bring joy and restoration again.”
A memorial service with viewing was held on Monday, June 1 at Lewis Crematory Chapel in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Mr. Karraker is entrusted to Kelvin F. Lewis, the funeral director, and the Lewis Crematory & Funeral Home staff of Myrtle Beach, SC.
