State Senator Jason Plummer was part of a committee on Thursday morning reviewing the Governor’s appointees to the Prisoner Review Board, appointees that Senator Plummer has been critical of in the past. During the meeting, Senator Plummer commented that when mistakes are made by the PRB then people die. He talks about how important it is for the Board to do their work thoroughly.
Senator Plummer said being a member of the Prisoner Review Board is a full time position and pays about $150,000 per year. He says in the past the appointees were “wildly unqualified” and didn’t take the position seriously. And, he says the consequences were tragic.
