(Bloomington, IL) — The city of Bloomington is placing a delay on data center projects. The City Council unanimously approved a six-month moratorium on the projects. The action means Bloomington won’t allow any applications to be submitted for data centers using five or more megawatts of power. During that time, city leaders research the impacts of data center and develop regulations.
