The Brownstown VFW hosted its 30th annual Memorial Day Service on Monday Morning. When giving his Commander’s address, FVW Commander Jebidiah Smail reminded the audience why we celebrate Memorial Day.
Alivia Claycomb, the Voice of Democracy Scholarship winner, read in her essay that the best way we can honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice is by showing patriotism.
Also included in the Memorial Day Service was music from both the Brownstown Community Choir and the Brownstown school band, as well as the presentation of Colors and the Firing of Volleys.
