(Chicago, IL) — The Bears are reaffirming plans that they’re leaving Chicago. The team released a statement saying they have exhausted every opportunity to stay in Chicago, but there isn’t a viable site in the city. The Bears say the only sites under consideration are in Arlington Heights and Hammond, Indiana. Mayor Brandon Johnson’s Office revealed that recent meetings took place between the Bears and Chicago’s Corporation Counsel regarding the terms for a new lakefront stadium. The Bears responded by saying any meetings between them and the city were limited to counsel-to-counsel engagement and there were no conversations with team management.
