The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is reporting an accident on Interstate 57 this evening. The Sheriff’s Office says that I-57 at the southbound mile marker 137 is down to one lane due to an injury accident. The Sheriff’s Office says to please use caution in this area and attempt to use alternate routes to avoid this area. The lane closure is projected to be 2 to 4 hours.
