Man Dead After Barricading Himself Inside McDonough Co Home

(McDonough Co., IL) — A man is dead after barricading himself inside a home in McDonough County. Authorities say on Friday, the McDonough County Sheriff’s Department received a call for a domestic disturbance at a home in the 400 block of Monmouth Street in Good Hope. Officers located a woman with severe injuries outside the home. A man had barricaded himself inside the home and set it on fire. SWAT entered the home and found the man dead inside. An investigation is underway.
