(Chicago, IL) — Mayor Brandon Johnson is making a last push to keep the Bears in Chicago. The mayor traveled down to Springfield to meet with state lawmakers. He said remaining in Chicago is the “most economically sound” move for the Bears. Johnson criticized efforts to pass the so-called “megaprojects” bill, saying he doesn’t know why any Chicago legislator would vote for anything that doesn’t benefit Chicagoans. The House approved the bill which would help the Bears build a stadium in Arlington Heights.
