Although any talk locally is very quiet right now, Data Centers have been a major topic in multiple locations around the region. While many look at them as an important economic tool, many communities are rejecting them. The City of Vandalia heard from a group back in January that could potentially be interested in locating one here. But, there’s really been very little talk since that time. Speaking on our podcast “Talking about Vandalia,” Mayor Doug Knebel says he believes they do have an obligation to look at the possibility.
But, as Mayor Knebel stated, there has been very little talk up to this point. And, if there did come a time they advanced the discussion any further, it would involve public meetings and input from the public.
