In their Weather Briefing, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says thunderstorms will develop over northwest Missouri this afternoon and will quickly form into a line as they track southeast across the state through late this evening. 3 pm to midnight is the best window for severe storms and the NWS says the strongest of the storms will occur in the earlier half of that timeframe.
