The Vandalia Lake Beach will have concessions 4 days per week this upcoming season.
For the past couple of years during Lake Committee meetings and updates, it has been discussed they would like to find a consistent schedule for the concessions at the beach area. Earlier this year, Tammy Flowers from Flowers Concessions came before the Vandalia City Council to discuss the possibility of her business taking over handling the concessions starting this season. The City then put out a request for proposal to find out if there were other interested businesses and the only one to respond was Flowers Concessions. And, the City Council approved the awarding of the concessions to Flowers Concessions. They will be operating their concessions at the Vandalia Lake Beach on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.
