A Pana man is facing two additional Felony counts in Fayette County Court.
47 year old Jesse D. Blades is charged with two counts of Aggravated Battery, which are both Class 3 Felonies. Information on the charges say that Blades was at a Vandalia restaurant and is alleged to have knowingly caused bodily harm to another individual by allegedly striking the individual in the head with a glass bottle and causing a laceration to the individual’s head.
In Fayette County Court, Blades appeared with the public defender and was advised of the charges against him. Another case from 2025 remains pending against Blades, and he was advised of the petition to revoke pre-trial release in that case. The court found that Blades had violated his pre-trial release in the 2025 case and also due to the prior criminality of the defendant and the dangerousness of the defendant to the alleged victim in the case and the community. So, the court found that no conditions or combination can mitigate the real and present threat and therefore Blade’s pre-trial release was revoked. Blades will remain in the Fayette County Jail. He will make an appearance with counsel on April 14th at 10 am.
