The former Poly Pak building in Vandalia will be getting a new tenant.
During Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, the council was joined via Zoom by Kevin Patterson of APEK Holdings. He says his company purchases buildings such as the former Poly Pak building and then works to find new tenants for them. In the case of this building, the new tenants will be ALTEC. They are a large manufacturing company working mostly with the utilities industry. And, they currently have a location in Marion County with better than 100 employees. They will look to employ about 10 to 20 in Vandalia.
Mayor Doug Knebel says it’s certainly great to see a tenant come in to the location.
And, he says adding new jobs and filling an empty spot is just an added bonus.
At the meeting, the City Council was asked to change the zoning on the building in order for the process to go forward and that was approved unanimously.
