(Springfield, IL) — A Chicago man found guilty of shooting a state trooper in Springfield in 2023 is receiving 95-years in prison. Cristobal Santana was sentenced Friday after he was convicted on all five counts, including attempted murder. Authorities say Santana pulled out a gun and fired shots at Trooper Dakotah Chapman-Green during a traffic stop in October 2023. Chapman-Green made a full recovery and returned to duty. Santana is also accused of shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend, Adrianna Lopez, in Chicago in October 2023.
