(Shelby County, IL) — A Shelby County man is facing charges after being arrested with what investigators say “appeared to be” a homemade explosive device. Thirty-three-year-old Quinton Wallace was taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at a home in Herrick Saturday. Wallace, who was out on pretrial release for another offense, was also found in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and weapons. The explosive device was handed over to the ATF for evaluation and disposal.
