In Tuesday’s Primary Election, Republican challenger Kara Dugan defeated incumbent Jessica Barker in the Fayette County Clerk race. Dugan finished with 1,827 votes to 1,305 votes for Barker. Dugan will now run as the Republican candidate for Fayette County Clerk in the November General Election. As of this time, there is no Democrat candidate.
All other races in Fayette County were unopposed in the Tuesday Primary, Republican Treasurer Michell Hagy, Republican Sheriff Ronnie Stevens and Republican Supervisor of Assessments Ryan Parks all ran unopposed in Tuesday’s election.
For Republicans for Fayette County Board, Rick Radliff in District 1, Daniel Lutz and Mack Payne in District 2, Michael Butts in District 3, Pat Click in District 4, Heidi Schulte in District 5, James Wehrle and Scott Workman in District 6 and Jacque Durr in District 7 all ran unopposed in Tuesday’s primary race.
On the Democrat side, Scott Ray ran unopposed for District 7.
