
The National Weather Service has confirmed several tornadoes throughout the region on Sunday.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln is confirming that six tornadoes hit central Illinois over the weekend. A tornado hit the Nokomis/Pana area on Sunday, ripping off part of the roof of a local school. Funnel clouds also touched down in Assumption, Lovington, Tuscola, Bethany and Arthur.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis is also confirming 3 tornadoes. One was an EF-1 Tornado that was south of Patoka in the Shattuc area. They also confirm an EF-1 in the Red Bud/New Athens area and an EF-0 Tornado just north of that area.
