Storms rolled through the area on Sunday evening.
The storms brought in strong winds, some lightning and some heavy rains for a time. Although all of our neighboring counties were under severe weather warnings during the storm, Fayette County somehow was able to avoid the severe status as the storms made their way across the region. The storms did bring in a very strong cold front that did eventually lead to the rain changing over to snow and left behind very strong winds that are expected to last throughout the day today.
