Bill That Would Expel Students Who Sexually Assault Another Student Advances In Springfield

(Springfield, IL) — Illinois lawmakers are moving forward with a bill that would expel students who sexually assaulted another student. The Illinois Senate Criminal Law Committee unanimously approved a measure that would require any student who sexually assaults a peer to be expelled for at least one year. The proposal now heads to the Senate Education Committee for further consideration.
