As Gas prices soar, Vandalia remains on par with most area communities……except for Effingham

As gas prices around the state and nation are soaring, Vandalia is remaining on par with most area communities—except for Effingham.

This morning, according to GasBuddy.com Vandalia had gas price ranges of $3.39 to $3.59 per gallon.  That is pretty close with most other area communities.

Salem has a price range of $3.49 to $3.59 per gallon.  Greenville was at $3.39 to $3.41 per gallon and Pana was at $3.29 to $3.59 per gallon.

Effingham, as usual, was the outlier of the area.  Effingham had price ranges of $2.49 to $2.79 per gallon.  That $2.49 per gallon looks to be the lowest prices in the state, according to GasBuddy.

The average price in the State of Illinois is at $3.60 per gallon.
