
We will be sunny and warmer today.
We are looking at sunny skies today with a high of 75. And, then partly cloudy skies for tonight with a low of 59. Winds from the south will gust better than 20 miles per hour tonight.
Meanwhile, we have the potential for severe storms over the area on Tuesday. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says thunderstorms are likely on Tuesday, mainly during the late afternoon and evening. Some of these storms may be severe. The NWS says the strongest storms are expected across parts of northeast Missouri into west central Illinois. All severe weather hazards will be possible including large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. And, some locally heavy rain is also possible. They add that thunderstorms will likely weaken by mid to late evening as they move to the southeast. As of this time, our entire area is in the “Slight” category for severe storms on Tuesday with the “Enhanced” area off to our north and west.
