Meanwhile, severe weather is still a possibility over the area on Friday. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says thunderstorms are possible area-wide Friday evening and night, and there is a conditional threat for strong or severe storms as well. However, the greater threat for severe storms is across western Missouri, and confidence is low that storms will still be severe as they reach our area.
