(Moweaqua, IL) — Moweaqua has a new acting mayor. Weeks after former-mayor Shawn Conlin resigned amid a budget controversy, Angela Locke was appointed as acting mayor. The appointment came during a special session of the board that convened on Saturday. Locke previously served on the village board as finance personnel.
