Kaskaskia College went 2-2 over the weekend with dual doubleheaders at Holmes Community College in Goodman, Mississippi. Sophomore Dillan Elam earned the save in the Blue Devils first game on Saturday as he entered the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with KC up 10-8, trying to holdoff Holmes after they had scored four runs in the inning to cut the lead down to two. Elam faced two batters, walking one and retiring the other to close out the game and the win for KC. Elam made another appearance out of the bullpen on Saturday, pitching two scoreless innings giving up one hit, walking three and striking out one of the eight batters he faced. Also in Sunday’s second game, freshman Keegan Schultz made his debut for KC, coming in off the bench to play first base and drawing a walk in his lone plate appearance in the game. KC now heads to Millington, Tennessee this weekend to play in the Flag City Classic at the USA Baseball Complex taking on Jefferson College and Mississippi Delta Community College on Friday and then South Suburban College on Saturday.
