(Kankakee Co., IL) — A man accused of killing a bar owner in Kankakee County is in custody. Kankakee County Sheriff Mike Downey says Courtney Drysdale was getting ready to open The Line bar along Route 114 in Momence on Monday when Julius Burkes Junior entered the business, showed a gun and demanded money from the cash register.
Burkes was apprehended yesterday in Hammond, Indiana. He is currently being held in Indiana where he awaits an extradition hearing in Illinois.
