Snow is on the way to the area on Saturday and Saturday night and here is the latest update on what we might looking at.
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service in St. Louis says snow is likely in the afternoon on Saturday with a high of just 12. Total daytime snow accumulation would be 1 to 2 inches. Then, Saturday night snow will continue with a low of 9. New snow accumulation on Saturday night of 2 to 4 inches possible.
The NWS says in their latest reports that snow fall would begin in the afternoon on Saturday and then would likely end sometime on Sunday morning. The area is under both a Winter Storm Watch through Saturday and a Cold Weather Advisory for Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, some other weather outlets are a little less confident in that much snow reaching this area. Accuweather.com puts our total snowfall at just 1 to 3 inches. And, they also have the majority of any snow coming to the area on Sunday.
With whatever amount of snow we do get, very cold temperatures will be left afterward. We will see a high on Sunday in the teens and then a low of zero on Sunday night.
