The Fayette County Emergency Management Agency is working to make sure everyone has a place to go in case of bad weather.
EMA Director Ryan Scott says they are currently working on a list of organizations within the count that would be interested in being an emergency shelter in Fayette County. Scott says it doesn’t take a lot to be able to be such a shelter.
And, Scott says anyone that is interested can reach out to him to get signed up.
Again, that number is 618-283-5005. This would be for potential bad weather such as extreme cold in the winter or severe storms.
