(Chicago, IL) — The state of Illinois and city of Chicago are suing the Trump Administration’s Department of Homeland Security. Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul announced a lawsuit that accuses Customs and Border Protection and ICE agents of using unlawful and dangerous tactics during immigration enforcement in Illinois.
The tactics include arresting people without warrants or probable cause and indiscriminately deploying tear gas. The state is asking the court to order federal agents to stop using these tactics.
