A send-off reception is being held tonight for Miss Fayette County Fair Queen Avery Myers ahead of this weekend’s Illinois State Fair Queen Pageant. The reception will be held from 5 to 6pm tonight at Blind Society in Vandalia for those wishing to show support, share encouragement and help send Queen Avery off for competition this weekend. The State Pageant will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield with Queen Avery competing in the evening portion of the competition on Saturday night. The Top 16 finalists will then be announced on Sunday evening and those finalists will go through their final competition.
