(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services is investing four-million-dollars for Planned Parenthood to protect reproductive healthcare access across Illinois. The funding will go towards Medicaid family planning programming to counteract the federal defunding of Planned Parenthood in Trump’s budget bill. That includes critical services like contraception, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, and cancer screenings.
