Storms rolled through the area and there was a tornado siren set off in Ramsey.
Fayette County Sheriff Ronnie Stevens says that the siren was set off in Ramsey when a citizen claimed to see a tornado in the Bayle City area. Sheriff Stevens said that officers and deputies close to that area did not see a tornado, nor did they see any damage.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis had reported that we could see some severe storms in the storms that rolled through early Thursday afternoon. Madison and St. Clair Counties were both under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for a period of time but Fayette County was never under any weather warning on Thursday.
